Marianna Alfonsi is an Italian registered dietitian and nutrition specialist with extensive experience in clinical nutrition, metabolic diseases, and nutritional counseling.
Born in Rome on May 25, 1979, she graduated with honors in Dietetics from Sapienza University of Rome and later obtained a Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition with a score of 110/110.
She is currently registered with the Italian professional board of dietitians (Ordine TSRM PSTRP of Rome) and has been practicing as a clinical dietitian since 2008.
Alfonsi collaborates with several medical centers and specialists, providing personalized nutritional counseling for both healthy individuals and patients with metabolic or chronic conditions. Her areas of expertise include obesity, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, eating disorders, renal diseases, and nutritional support in oncology. She also works on body composition optimization and preventive nutrition, with a strong focus on the principles of the Mediterranean diet.
Since 2018, she has been involved in nutritional clinical activity at the Diabetes Day Hospital of the II Medical Clinic at Policlinico Umberto I in Rome. She also collaborates with the Department of Experimental Medicine at Sapienza University of Rome, contributing to research on overweight and obesity in autoimmune diabetes.
