The magic of pregnancy involves endocrine and metabolic changes resulting from the presence and activity of the feto-placental unit, which is a site of hormone production influencing mothers’ homeostasis also. Maternal adaptation to such endocrinological changes may be hampered by pre-existing conditions, often requiring medical intervention. However, the rapidly evolving endocrinological picture of pregnancy and the cautions required by the presence of the fetus pose additional clinical concerns. In this Escape Room Learning Experience participants will be challenged to solve, through an evidence-based and highly interactive approach, a clinical case encumbered by common endocrinological challenges.
