Dr. Lusine Aghajanova is double board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. Aghajanova’s medical interests include endometrial aspects of fertility, assisted reproduction and disparities in fertility knowledge and access to care. Dr. Aghajanova is widely renowned for her unique focus on endometrial health in reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
Dr. Aghajanova received her medical degree from Yerevan State Medical University in Armenia, followed by residency in obstetrics and gynecology, then completed PhD in Human Implantation at Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden. She also had an embryology training at Karolinska Institute. Subsequently, Dr. Aghajanova completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas and at University of California San Francisco with subsequent high intensity Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship training at UC San Francisco.
Currently Dr. Aghajanova a Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology – Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility at Stanford University and practices full spectrum of reproductive endocrinology and infertility care at Stanford fertility clinic, including assisted reproductive technologies and reproductive surgeries. She serves as the Director of the Endometrial Health Program and Third Party Reproduction Program for the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanford University School of Medicine. She is also an Assistant program Director for REI Fellowship at Stanford.
Dr. Aghajanova is a respected researcher in the field of endometrial receptivity, implantation and endometriosis, as well as clinical outcomes of fertility treatment and access to care. Dr. Aghajanova speaks Russian and Armenian among other languages and is very well published with over 70 peer-reviewed publications as well as numerous oral and poster presentations. She is active in research and is an active peer-reviewer for over 12 professional journals, she is currently as Associate Editor for Human Reproduction, and serves on Editorial Board for Fertility and Sterility Reports and for JARG.
