Dr. Lucas Lauder is a consultant at the Department of Cardiology at the University Hospital Basel (USB). His main clinical focus is preventive medicine and the treatment of heart failure. His research interests particularly include cardiorenal interaction, adherence to pharmacological therapy, autonomic modulation, and interventional treatment options for cardiovascular diseases. Dr. Lauder is a co-author of the ESC Guidelines on Arterial Hypertension (2024), a core member of the German Cardiac Society working group on arterial Hypertension, and co-chair of the European Society of Hypertension Working Group on Device-based Treatment of Hypertension.
