Dr. Zhimin Huang is Professor of Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes Center, First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China. She has been working as an endocrinologist for over 20 years, specialized in the management of diabetes mellitus. She is very experienced in short-term intensive insulin pump treatment in patients with type 2 diabetes to induce long-term drug-free remission or simplified antidiabetic regiment. She takes special interests in the mechanism of insulinreceptoropathy and metabolic associated fatty liver disease. She worked as a visiting scholar in Melanie Cobb Lab in UT Southwestern Medical Center, Texas, USA between September 2013 and August 2015, focusing on insulin signaling transduction pathway. She participated in the clinical research of fatty liver disease and type 2 diabetes in Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong between March, and May in 2017. She is the Youth Committee Member of Chinese Diabetes Society, and member of American Diabetes Association. She is now the Review Editor of Frontiers in Endocrinology in the section of Clinical Diabetes. She joined in the writing of Chinese Expert Consensus about the management of dyslipidemia in patients with diabetes in 2017, and Expert Consensus about the diagnosis and treatment of monogenic diabetes in 2022. She had published over 50 articles and received grant for research from National Natural Science Foundation of China.
