Dr Amy Barrie is Head of Laboratories for CARE Fertility UK and the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HEFA) representative for CARE Fertility Chester and CARE Fertility Liverpool. Dr Barrie is a consultant clinical scientist, one of only a few in the UK who are Fellows of the Royal College of Pathologists.
Dr Barrie has over 10 years’ experience within clinical embryology and has a special interest in time-lapse technology, which is used throughout the CARE Fertility Group laboratories. She has published a number of papers and book chapters on this topic and is actively involved in research in this area. Dr Barrie takes a keen interest in the training of future embryologists and teaches on the scientific training program for the National School of Healthcare Science.
