Dr. Renata Risi is a MD fully trained in Endocrinology and Metabolic diseases at Sapienza University of Rome (Italy) since 2022. She completed a research fellowship at the Institute of Metabolic Science at the University of Cambridge, focusing on obesity and metabolic diseases in 2021-2022 under the supervision of Prof. Antonio Vidal Puig, where she is currently a visiting researcher. She completed her post-doctoral training in Diabetology at Sapienza University of Rome, with a focus on overweight and obesity in autoimmune diabetes, under the supervision of Prof. Raffaella Buzzetti in 2026. Her research interests focus on the impact of overweight and adiposopathy on cardiometabolic risk in patients with autoimmune diabetes, as well as the identification of novel cardiovascular risk biomarkers.
